Dutch football team SC Telstar is teaming up once again with BUKO Infrasupport as the club’s stadium naming rights partner and shirt sponsor.
Telstar said from 1 July 2025, the stadium will once again bear the name BUKO Stadium and the BUKO logo will once again appear on the back of Telstar’s official VriendenLoterij Eredivisie shirt. The partnership will run until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
Sportclub Telstar is a Dutch professional football club based in the town of Velsen-Zuid, in the north of The Netherlands.
The team competes in the Eredivisie, the top tier of the Dutch football league system, following promotion from the Eerste Divisie in the 2024–25 season.
Sportpark Schoonenberg, branded as BUKO Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is the home of Eredivisie club Telstar and Eredivisie Vrouwen club Telstar. It was opened in 1948, with minor renovations in 1999 and additional renovations in 2009 and 2025.
The stadium, with a capacity of 4,200, consists of an all-seater east stand (converted from standing-only in 1999), a small terraced south stand (added in 2010), and an all-seater west stand.
BUKO Infrasupport is the service provider for temporary traffic measures, with more than 30 years of experience in traffic advice, design, implementation and management.
Beginning in January 2021, BUKO was the main sponsor of the football team, and the stadium was named BUKO Stadium. In June 2023, online casino 711 became the new sponsor of Telstar, and the stadium was renamed 711 Stadion.
The BUKO Stadium name has now returned, as new Dutch national regulations have banned gambling sponsorships.
Telstar has also now begun renovations to the stadium, including replacing artificial turf with natural grass, to meet Eredivisie requirements.
According to regional director of BUKO Infrasupport, Menno Bicker, the choice for Telstar was a conscious one.
He said, “Our collaboration is one from the heart and the head. What appeals to us are the rock-solid core values of Telstar: combative, united, sympathetic and controversial.
“The club shows vision and courage and demonstrates that you can really challenge the established order with a well-considered approach. That mentality suits BUKO.”
BUKO Infrasupport signed the renewed sponsorship contract before promotion to the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie was confirmed.
General Manager of Telstar, Leon Annokkée, said, “The fact that we are now returning to the highest level is of course fantastic.
“It makes the timing of this collaboration extra special. BUKO’s confidence was already there before the final sprint. That says something about the bond we have built up together over the years.”
Bicker added, “As a national player with deep roots in this region, we feel the responsibility to give something back. Telstar plays a strong connecting role in the Northwest of the Netherlands, with numerous social initiatives.
“With this collaboration, we want to make a conscious and visible contribution to this – not only financially, but also in terms of content.
“By reconnecting our name to Telstar, we increase our visibility – on the shirt, in the stadium and beyond. We are proud to once again be part of this beautiful chapter in the club’s history. As a sponsor, as a supporter, as a partner.”
