Oklahoma Sooners partners with StadiumDrop Image: University of Oklahoma

The University of Oklahoma (US) and the game changing mobile ordering and delivery app StadiumDrop announced a partnership for the 2022-2023 athletics year, bringing in-seat delivery, contactless payment and express pick-up options at the Lloyd Noble Center via the StadiumDrop app.

‘soonersports.com’ stated that fans interested in taking advantage of the new in-venue convenience will need to download the StadiumDrop app to their phone through the Apple or Google Play store.

The University of Oklahoma is a public research university in Norman, Oklahoma, US. Founded in 1890, it had existed in the Oklahoma Territory near the Indian Territory for 17 years before the two territories became the State of Oklahoma. In Fall 2022, the University had 29,705 students enrolled, most at its main campus in Norman.

Frisco, Texas (US)-based StadiumDrop is a peer-to-peer food and beverage delivery service designed specifically for in-seat delivery in stadiums, concert venues and outdoor events.

The Lloyd Noble Center is a 10,967-seat multipurpose arena located in Norman, Oklahoma, US, some 19 miles South of downtown Oklahoma City. It opened in 1975 and is home to the University of Oklahoma men’s and women’s basketball teams.

The Oklahoma Sooners football program is a college football team that represents the University of Oklahoma. The team is a member of the Big 12 Conference, which is in Division I Football Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

‘soonersports.com’ further stated that StadiumDrop provides fans with several options to improve their experience, including the ability to order their favorite concession food and beverages and have it delivered directly to their seat. In addition, fans can utilize express pickup, allowing fans to order ahead and skip the lines through the StadiumDrop app.

Said Leah Beasley, University of Oklahoma Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Engagement, “The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department is committed to excellence and providing fans with a memorable in-game atmosphere. We have received critical feedback from our fan base and are acting to enhance their concession experience. We’re thrilled to partner with StadiumDrop, adding convenience for our fans to not miss a minute of the action. StadiumDrop’s innovative technology will also allow us to communicate and deliver food and beverages directly to our fans. The added technology will better help us serve our fans and further improve their experience at the Lloyd Noble Center.”

StadiumDrop’s digital concession technology allows fans to identify busier concession times, receive push notifications and informs vendors about frequently ordered items to better improve fans’ in-game experience.

Stated StadiumDrop Chief Operating Officer (COO) Adam McAbee, “Very thankful to be a part of this storied program. This Fall and Spring, fans will be able to enjoy the moments that matter the most while they make memories at athletic events such as basketball, baseball and even the spring football game. As StadiumDrop continues to expand across the United States, partnerships like this remain a vital part to our company and strategic growth within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).”

The Sooners are based in Norman, Oklahoma, and are members of the Big 12 Conference. The Oklahoma football team has won seven national championships and 50 conference championships.
