Esports company Resolve receives funding Image: Resolve & Global Esports

UK-based esports organization, Resolve Esports, having secured investment from Esports Global, is raring to open its own esports center in London. Resolve Esports is firm on sitting on the top of the heap in the UK League of Legends.

League of Legends is a 2009 multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows and macOS. Originally inspired by Defense of the Ancients, the game has followed a freemium model since its release on October 27th, 2009.

Esports Global, a mix of investors, entrepreneurs, consultants and gamers who recognize the potential of esports as an entertainment platform, aim to support the investment ecosystem providing high growth esports organizations with access to strategic capital that will accelerate their business.

Founded by Ilias ‘Rai’ Pajoheshfar in 2019, Resolve Esports began as a community of gamers in 2015 focused on self-improvement and development through esports and League of Legends coaching, and quickly burgeoned to more than 2,000 members.

Resolve takes a holistic approach to player development and esports education incorporating aspects from traditional sports coaching and management, psychology, anthropology and other fields to advance the performance and culture of their club. The core values of Resolve, their players and their community are mental health, physical wellbeing and resilience. Through their work, they aim to encourage the growth of esports within United Kingdom and inspire people to pursue their ambitions in a healthy way.

The Esports Global investment, spearheaded by Dave Martin and Chester King, will translate into reality Resolve’s core aims of establishing new esports teams, offering online coaching and creating a physical esports center in London for training and developing players. The center is part of Resolve’s long-term vision.

Resolve founder and former esports coach Pajoheshfar was named one of ‘Kick It Out’s Next25’ leaders and won the UCFB Entrepreneur Competition in 2019 and 2020.

Pajoheshfar said, “Resolve is committed to supporting grassroots development within the UK and around the world, so I am excited to have Dave and Chester from Esports Global on board.”

He added, “We share an exciting vision for what Resolve can be, and with our shared expertise we can compete with the top teams in the UK and Europe and lead the way in esports player development. We’re very ambitious and, with our focus on quality and innovation, we aim to have a positive impact on the esports ecosystem and cement ourselves as an organization for the future.”

David Martin from Esports Global who joined as a Director at Resolve, remarked, “Chester and I have been mentoring Ilias for the past two years and, during this time, we have been impressed by his knowledge, passion and dedication. The overall decision to invest was an easy one and we look forward to supporting the growth of both Ilias and Resolve.”

Resolve’s main League of Legends team recently won the UK Esports League (UKEL). The team also won the United Kingdom League Championship (UKLC) Relegation Series in August and have secured a spot for themselves in the UK League Championship for the Spring 2021 session.

Earlier this year, the team had won the UK Esports League to bag a place in the Relegation Series 2020.

Resolve also boasts a female League of Legends team as well as an academy team.

Resolve also launched an online store recently with global delivery, allowing fans to purchase Resolve jerseys and Razer products directly from the site. The organization also offers online League of Legends coaching across a variety of roles, including playing, coaching and managing, via the Resolve Discord server.
