To show how seriously the online gaming company betPawa takes its commitment to the betPawa Premier League and growing the sport in Ghana (West African country), construction has begun on the betPawa Football Arena in Prampram, Ghana.

‘betPawa’ stated that the sod-cutting ceremony was held recently for the above facility on what will become a FIFA Star Grade 1 surface with a 3,000-capacity stand, two changing rooms for teams and match officials, and storage and media rooms at the Ghanaman Soccer Center for Excellence.

betPawa is an Africa-based online betting firm that was established in 2012. It is already operating in several African countries namely Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, and Zambia. betPawa operates online sports betting business designed to help users to bet on games with 24 hours customer support.

betPawa is committing GH¢2.99 million ($300,000) yearly to the legacy project, which should be completed within four to six months. It’s the latest part of betPawa’s mission to make the betPawa Premier League an African phenomenon.

‘betPawa’ further stated that the international superstar and betPawa stakeholder Mr Eazi (Nigerian-born, Ghana-based singer) underscored the significant role the availability of infrastructure plays in sports development.

He said, “Lack of proper infrastructure can restrict sport participation and since the existence of a proper infrastructure fosters participation, there is the need for the provision of facilities which are of international standards to aid in producing sportspersons of international repute.”

Applauding betPawa’s initiative, Ghana Football Association President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku exulted, “This is a very positive development as regards sports sponsorship in this country and I call on other corporate companies to take a page out of the above initiative.”

betPawa’s long-term objective is to grow and harness talents and reward fans across its markets.

In Ghana, betPawa have looked to make a difference to the lives of families and communities through the Dream Maker and Win BIG, Give Back campaigns. They also recently helped the Gaming Commission of Ghana launch a new Responsible Gaming Call Center, providing the right information to anyone concerned about their betting activities.
