The Panathinaikos Football Club, known as Panathinaikos, or by its full name, and the name of its parent sports club, Panathinaikos A.O. or PAO, is a Greek professional football club based in Athens, Greece. The club plays in Super League Greece, being one of the most successful clubs in Greek football and one of the three clubs which have never been relegated from the top division.

The 16,003-capacity Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium, commonly known as Leoforos Alexandras Stadium or Leoforos Stadium, is a football stadium and multisport center in Athens, Greece. This development brings great excitement and anticipation among the club’s supporters and stakeholders.

Acknowledgments and Gratitude

The PAE Panathinaikos expressed its sincere gratitude to all involved in making the project a reality. Special thanks were extended to the former Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The club also acknowledged the efforts of the Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, who played a crucial role in facilitating the construction of the new stadium.

Embracing a New Era

Over the next 36 months, Panathinaikos will witness the transformation of its infrastructure as the construction of the most modern stadium in Greece progresses. The new facility represents a fresh start for the club and its dedicated fan base, instilling a sense of optimism and rejuvenation. This modern venue will symbolize Panathinaikos’ commitment to excellence and provide an enhanced experience for both players and spectators.
