Warta Poznań sports complex plans in Poland

The Ekstraklasa team Warta Poznań – at a presser held recently – presented the first graphics that give a rough idea of what the planned sports complex at Droga Dębińska 12 in Poznań, Poland, may look like in the future.

‘Warta Poznań’ stated that Warta Poznań celebrated their 111^th anniversary on June 15^th this year.

The Warta Poznań is a multisports club based in Poznań, Poland. The name means the ‘Guard’ in Polish and also the name of the River Warta near which the City of Poznań sits. Founded in 1912, the association football club are two-time winners of the Polish Football Championship, in 1929 and 1947. They play in Ekstraklasa – the top Polish professional league for men’s association football teams.

The 4,694-capacity Dębińska Road Stadium, also known as Stadion przy Drodze Dębińskiej and nicknamed Ogródek, is a football stadium located in the Wilda district of Poznań, Poland. It serves as the residence of Warta Poznań.

‘Warta Poznań’ further stated that the above presser was held at the SPOT restaurant, and was graced by representatives of the Poznań (City in Poland) authorities and sponsors of ‘The Greens’ were also present. In the presser, the club presented its plans for building a futuristic sports complex at Droga Dębińska 12 in Poznań, Poland.

The design of the facility will be made available soon and based on the design will it be possible to make an assessment as to what will be the price tag of the entire development. Once a clear picture emerges as regards the price tag, construction tenders will be floated.
