The Série A team Red Bull Bragantino is likely to play in the municipal stadium Cícero de Souza Marques in Bragança Paulista, while their home arena – the Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium in Bragança Paulista, Brazil – undergo renovation to lend it a futuristic touch.

‘globo.com’ stated that in this regard an application has been filed by the Municipality of Bragança Paulista requesting the relevant authorities that the ‘Massa Bruta’ be allowed to play in the Cícero de Souza Marques stadium while their home ground undergoes total repairs.

The Red Bull Bragantino, commonly known as Bragantino, is a Brazilian football club based in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo, Brazil. It competes in Série A, the top tier of the Brazilian football league system, as well as in the Campeonato Paulista Série A1, the highest level of the São Paulo State football league.

The Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium, also known as Nabizão, is a football stadium in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo State, Brazil. The stadium holds 17,724 people. It was built in 1949 and is the home stadium of the Red Bull Bragantino.

‘globo.com’ further stated that the Bragantino will invest BRL 22 million in their home venue to make it avant-garde.

The Bragantino has requested that they be allowed to play in the municipal stadium Cícero de Souza Marques for 42 months (three and a half years). This period may be extended for another six months, if required.

Among the redevelopment works of the Bragantino home, one is the rise in capacity by 10,000.

  • Renovating the existing stands (South);
  • Renovation and expansion of the changing rooms;
  • Renovation and expansion of the cafeterias;
  • Renovation of the existing buildings close to the playing field (support areas);
  • Painting the existing buildings of the area;
  • Renovation of the general enclosure;
  • Athletic track renovation;
  • New reservoirs and streamlining the water distribution network;
  • New North and South accesses;
  • Streamlining the ingress-egress points; and
  • A new playground to come up.
