The Bolivian Primera División (top-flight professional football league in Bolivia) team Club Bolívar new home construction work started in the Tembladerani area (neighborhood in La Paz, Bolivia) on August 1st.

‘euro.eseuro.com’ stated that an Andean ritual was performed to kick off Club Bolívar new home construction work. The new venue will go by the moniker – Libertador Simón Bolívar.

The Club Bolívar is a Bolivian professional football club that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1925 in honor of the Venezuelan military leader Simón Bolívar, after whom the club has been named, it is the most successful and popular club in the history of Bolivian football, with 30 titles in its kitty.

The Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz, Bolivia, which can accommodate 41,143 supporters and is owned by the La Paz Department Autonomous Government, is Club Bolívar’s main home ground and is used for its official matches.

‘euro.eseuro.com’ further stated that the above event was attended by the Club Bolívar President Marcelo Claure, who lives in the United States, as well as other dignitaries.

Commented Claure, “The Club Bolívar new home will be one of the most avant-garde in Bolivia and will be in the league of the most sophisticated arenas of the world. The stadium will be built in such a manner that fans’ interaction with the players will be up close.”

The new home facility of Club Bolívar will be able to accommodate 20,000 spectators and will come up on the land of the old Tembladerani stadium. The price tag of the new venue will stand at 35 million dollars.

The L35 Architects will helm the new venue construction work and the Bolivian company SICO SRL will carry out the supervisory works. A deadline of April 12th, 2025 has been set to complete the stadium construction work to coincide with the centenary celebrations of Club Bolívar.

The L35 Architects are an international architecture firm with offices in Barcelona, Madrid – both in Spain, Paris (France), Milan (Italy), Geneva (Switzerland), Miami (US), Mexico, Bogotá (Colombia), São Paulo (Brazil), Santiago (Chile), Istanbul (Türkiye), and Abu Dhabi (UAE).

Claire concluded by stating that his “dream” was to see the new stadium of Club Bolívar go on stream as per the deadline set.
