Oakland Athletics hire CAA Icon as representative Image: MLB and Oakland Athletics

The Major League Baseball (MLB) team Oakland Athletics have hired CAA ICON as Owner’s Representative for the club’s proposed Las Vegas (US) ballpark.

‘Major League Baseball’ stated that CAA ICON will assist in the overall project management and serve as a key resource in the oversight of the architect, construction manager, subcontractors, and other specialty consultants.

The Oakland Athletics are an American professional baseball team based in Oakland, California (US). The Athletics compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League West division. The team plays its home games at the Oakland Coliseum.

The 63,000-capacity Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is a multipurpose stadium in Oakland, California, United States, and the home ballpark of the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). It is part of the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Complex, with the adjacent 19,200-capacity Oakland Arena, near Interstate 880.

‘Major League Baseball’ further stated that CAA ICON served in the same role for the National Football League (NFL) team Las Vegas Raiders’ 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, the National Hockey League (NHL) team Vegas Golden Knights’ 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) Las Vegas Aces’ practice facility, and the Raiders’ headquarters.

Beyond their extensive presence in Las Vegas, they have overseen planning, design and construction for some of the most successful sports venues in the world, including the National Basketball Association (NBA) team Golden State Warriors’ 18,064-capacity Chase Center in San Francisco, California, the NBA team Los Angeles Clippers’ future home – the under-construction 18,000-capacity Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, the restoration of the MLB team Chicago Cubs’ 41,649-capacity Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois, the Major League Soccer (MLS) team Austin FC’s 20,738-capacity Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, and more.
