Design revealed for new USL Arkansas stadium Image: USL Championship

The American professional soccer team – the United Soccer League (USL) Arkansas – recently unveiled the preliminary stadium renderings for the USL Championship and Super League clubs the organization is aiming to bring to Pinnacle Hills in Northwest Arkansas (US) for the 2026 season.

‘USL’ stated that the renderings provide a glimpse into the USL Arkansas’s vision for a state-of-the-art, multifunctional community hub designed not only to be the heart and soul of soccer in Northwest Arkansas but also a vibrant gathering place for various forms of large-scale events and entertainment.

Tampa (US)-based the United Soccer League (USL), formerly known as the United Soccer Leagues, is a soccer league in the United States and Canada. It organizes several men’s and women’s leagues, both professional and amateur.

The USL Arkansas is an American professional soccer team based in Rogers, Arkansas (US). The team was founded in 2023 and plans to debut in the USL Championship in 2026. The USL Arkansas will own and operate two professional clubs: A USL Championship Men’s team and a USL Super League Women’s team.

The USL Arkansas plans to build a 5,000-seat stadium in Rogers, Arkansas (US).

The USL Championship is a professional men’s soccer league in the United States that began play in 2011. The USL is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation as a Division II league since 2017, placing it under Major League Soccer (MLS) in the hierarchy. The USL is headquartered in Tampa, Florida (US).

Chicago (US)-based the United States Soccer Federation, commonly referred to as U.S. Soccer, is a 501 nonprofit organization and the official governing body of the sport of soccer in the United States.

The Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men’s professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport’s highest level in the United States. The league comprises 29 teams – 26 in the United States and 3 in Canada – since the 2023 season. The league is headquartered in Midtown Manhattan (US).

The USL Super League is a planned Division I professional women’s soccer league in the United States. The league is owned and operated by the United Soccer League. It was originally planned to be launched in August 2023, but is now slated to begin play in August 2024.

‘USL’ further stated that the stadium will initially feature a capacity of 5,000 seats with room for expansion as the community grows.

Said Chris Martinovic, Co-Founder of USL Arkansas, “This stadium represents so much more than the culmination of our dreams for a top-tier soccer experience, it’s a tangible manifestation of our community’s collective spirit and aspirations. Our vision is to create an inclusive, dynamic space where every individual in Northwest Arkansas – regardless of age, background, or interest – can come together to celebrate, engage and create lifelong memories. It’s not just a venue, it’s the future beating heart of our community where unique, enriching experiences await us all.”

The venue is set to feature a “Safe-Standing” supporters’ section that will be located directly behind the goal on the North end and will set stands as close to the pitch as possible to create a vibrant and intimate atmosphere.

The stadium will also offer accessible seating options to accommodate everyone in the Northwest Arkansas community, with the organization’s strategic location in Pinnacle Hills providing both convenience and an invitation to explore the surrounding entertainment opportunities that will enrich the complete fan experience from dawn to dusk.

Stated Warren Smith, Co-Founder of USL Arkansas, “Strategically positioned in the vibrant core of the Pinnacle Hills Entertainment District, our carefully planned stadium goes beyond the conventional concept of a sports venue. We’ve focused on curating a unique experience that keeps fans coming back for more. This isn’t just another stop on your itinerary, it’s an all-encompassing destination, a cornerstone of community life that captures the essence of what Northwest Arkansas has to offer both in sport and entertainment.”
