With Venezia FC just a step away from Italy’s top league following its recent jump from the 3rd league to Serie B, the Venice club has already set its eyes on a brand new stadium and a training centre.

According to media reports, the preferred location for the new 25,000-seater stadium is Tessera, an area north-east of the historical center. This would mean abandoning of the current Stadio Pierluigi Penzo, the only football venue in the old part of Venice.

The new stadium is well in line with Venezia FC’s plans of establishing themselves as one of Italy’s major football teams.
