Julien Rongier has been appointed as the new Venue Officer of AresMMA (France’s leading mixed martial arts [MMA] promotion) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ares Fighting Championship owned by SLAM.

A ‘LinkedIn Post By SLAM’ stated that “Julien brings over 15 years of experience in event management gained at the Bristol, the 80,000-capacity Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France, and most recently as the Chief Revenue Officer of the Paris Entertainment Company where he notably contributed to the commercial development of the 20,300-capacity Accor Arena in Paris, France, and the creation of the 8,000-capacity Adidas Arena in Paris.”

SLAM is the leading European mixed martial arts platform combining an official league, management agency, training club, and content production.

The mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full-contact fighting sport based on striking and grappling incorporating techniques from various combat sports from around the world.

The ‘LinkedIn Post By SLAM’ further stated that “Julien’s arrival is part of a strong acceleration dynamic for the AresMMA with the entry of renowned investors such as Pierre Gasly (French motorsports racing driver), Rudy Gobert (French basketball center), Mister V (French YouTuber), Randal Kolo Muani (French footballer), and William Saliba (French footballer), the announcement of a strategic partnership with Mediawan (French media conglomerate and audiovisual international production and distribution group) on content creation, as well as the acquisition of the Bulgarian Top Team (BTT).”
