Senior global executive Kevin J. Gessay has joined the Major League Baseball (MLB) team New York Mets (US) as their Senior Vice-President, Luxury Ventures and Growth.

Kevin J. Gessay is a senior global executive with 25 years of brand storytelling in luxury category through premium hospitality, communications, influencer, and experiential marketing.

The New York Mets are an American professional baseball team based in the New York City borough of Queens (US). The Mets compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League East Division.

The 41,800-capacity Citi Field is a baseball stadium located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the borough of Queens, New York City, United States. Opened in 2009 the Citi Field is the home of the Major League Baseball (MLB) team New York Mets.

A ‘LinkedIn Post By New York Mets’ stated, “In this newly created role with the Mets Kevin will lead the development of new luxury experiences and partnerships. Kevin will focus on creating unique experiences around the Mets while continuing to position the organization and the Citi Field as a leading luxury sports and entertainment destination for the fans, the marketers and the other strategic partners. He will report to the Chief Growth Officer Andrew Grossman.”

Kevin comes to the Mets with more than 25 years of expertise in curating experiences, luxury brand marketing, communications, and sports hospitality. Most recently, Kevin co-developed and launched ‘Chargers LUX’, an innovative sports membership program for the premium clientele of the National Football League (NFL) team Los Angeles Chargers.”

The ‘LinkedIn Post By New York Mets’ further stated, “Prior to his time with the Los Angeles Chargers, he was Managing Director for the PMK-BNC London (global publicity and marketing firm in Entertainment and Popular Culture) where he led the United Kingdom office operations, client storytelling and new business. Some of his clients included the Haig Club (single grain Scotch whisky), Pepsi Europe, American Express Europe, and Unilever (a British multinational consumer goods company). Kevin was at PMK-BNC in Los Angeles (US) for 14 years where he led the brand premium hospitality programs, communications, cross-channel marketing, celebrity procurement, and influencer outreach for brands like Audi (German luxury automobile manufacturer), Ketel One (premium vodka brand of Netherlands), Samsung, GM (American multinational automotive manufacturing company), and Anheuser-Busch (a prominent American brewing company).”
