The first ever X Games Championship event will be held at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans this summer.

X Games said New Orleans will be the final stop of the inaugural 2026 MoonPay X Games League (XGL) Summer Season which will highlight the world’s best skateboard, BMX and Moto X athletes.

The electrifying action sports festival will take place from July 24–26, 2026, at the iconic Caesars Superdome, marking a monumental moment for the legendary venue.

The 83,000-capacity Caesars Superdome is a domed multipurpose stadium located in the Central Business District (CBD) of New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. It is the home stadium of the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL).

The three-day X Games event will include a soon-to-be-announced live music line up, next-level sponsor integrations from XGL founding partner Monster Energy and others, and 18 top notch Skate, BMX and Moto X competitions with more than 100 of the world’s best action sports athletes.

The announcement of the X Games Championship New Orleans 2026 follows two previously announced regular-season stops – X Games Sacramento 2026 and X Games Japan 2026.

Jeremy Bloom, CEO of the X Games said, “The X Games Championship New Orleans 2026 represents a defining moment for the future of action sports.

“These inaugural finals bring together the world’s best athletes, clubs, and a city known globally for its energy, culture and celebration. There is no better place to crown the first-ever MoonPay XGL Summer 2026 Champion.”

Jay Cicero, President/CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, added, “Launching the X Games Championship is significant for Louisiana – bringing international visibility, economic impact, and opportunities for our regional businesses and community.

X Games and the accompanying concerts strengthens our position as a destination for major sporting events and global entertainment.

“We thank our partners at the X Games, the State of Louisiana and Louisiana Economic Development, Legends Global, and New Orleans & Company for their collaboration and commitment to making this brand-new event a success this summer.”

The inaugural MoonPay X Games League Summer Draft took place at Cosm Los Angeles where four new Summer X Games Clubs – XC Los Angeles, XC New York, XC São Paulo and XC Tokyo – each selected their team rosters.

The 40 total athletes selected will compete across three global stops, earning points for their clubs based on individual and team performance.

Points will accumulate throughout the season, with the X Games Championship New Orleans 2026 serving as the decisive final, where the Summer X Games Club with the highest total points will be crowned the 2026 MoonPay XGL Summer Champion and awarded the league title and grand prize.

X Games League Founder Athlete Leticia Bufoni said, “The Superdome in New Orleans is such an iconic venue; it will be an incredible location for the first X Games Championship event.

“I’m excited to see the world’s best skaters and BMXers be inspired by the energy of the city of New Orleans.”

Walt Leger III, President and CEO of New Orleans & Company, the official destination marketing and sales organization for the New Orleans tourism industry, said, “New Orleans is thrilled to be the host city for the inaugural MoonPay X Games League Summer Season.

“There is no better city in the world to celebrate the intersection of competition, athleticism, art, and culture than New Orleans. We can’t wait to welcome the X Games athletes, fans and special guests for what will be a spectacular summer weekend in New Orleans.”
