The English Football League (EFL – a competition for professional football clubs in England and Wales) Championship team – the Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.’s – Fanzone at The Halls (indoor pre-match fan gathering venue) opens its doors this season thus providing the supporters with a new indoor matchday destination in the heart of the Wolverhampton City Centre in England (UK).

Entry Free

‘wolves.co.uk’ stated that replacing the club’s former outdoor Fanzone the new venue will bring the Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. supporters together at the University of Wolverhampton at The Halls before the home fixtures with the former player appearances, live entertainment and food and drink all under one roof. The entry is free with no ticket required.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, commonly referred to as Wolves, is a professional football club based in Wolverhampton, England (UK). The club competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football.

The 31,750-seat Molineux Stadium is a football stadium situated in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England (UK). It has been the home ground of the EFL Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. since 1889.

Wolves Fanzone at The Halls

‘wolves.co.uk’ further stated that the Wolves Fanzone at The Halls is located inside the Wulfrun Hall at the University of Wolverhampton in Wolverhampton, England (UK).

The venue is in the heart of the city centre and approximately a 10-minute walk from the Molineux Stadium thus making it an ideal place to meet friends and enjoy the build-up before making the short journey to the stadium.

The Wolves Fanzone at The Halls will operate ahead of the Wolves home fixtures throughout the 2026-2027 seasons with any room changes or schedule tweaks communicated through the Wolves’ official channels ahead of each match. The doors will always open at least three hours before kick-off. The supporters are encouraged to arrive early. The Fanzone will initially be open to the Wolves supporters only.

Former Fanzone

The club’s former outdoor Fanzone will no longer operate with the Wolves Fanzone at The Halls becoming the club’s new official pre-match destination.

The previous Fanzone provided many enjoyable matchdays for the supporters but its open-air nature inevitably created challenges, particularly during the winter months and periods of poor weather.

Moving indoors allows the Wolves to build on the best elements of the previous Fanzone while offering a significantly enhanced and more consistent experience throughout the season with permanent bars and catering, seating, toilets, professional production facilities and, importantly, protection from the elements.

Most importantly, the move gives the club the opportunity to create something much more ambitious: A genuine pre-match destination in one of Wolverhampton’s most iconic venues and a space that the supporters can make their own throughout the season.

Pre-match Spot

The ambition is to make the Wolves Fanzone at The Halls a spot where the supporters can actively choose to spend their pre-match timer rather than being a place to pass through on the way to the Molineux Stadium.

The program will change from match to match but the supporters can expect a combination of:

  • Former Wolves players and special guests;
  • Live interviews and Q&As;
  • Live music and local performers;
  • Wolves content and match build-up;
  • Partner activations, competitions and activities; and
  • Plenty of space to meet friends, eat and drink before heading to the Molineux Stadium.

Early Live Game

When the football schedule allows the club also intends to show the early live game on the big screen thus giving the supporters the opportunity to watch the match together before heading to the Molineux Stadium.

There are no early live fixtures to show during the opening Fanzone events so live football will be introduced later in the season.

Epicurean Delight

The Halls has permanent bars throughout the venue with a dedicated Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. Fanzone food and drink menu available on matchdays.

The supporters looking for something to eat can choose from chicken and mushroom, steak, or cheese and leek pies, all priced at £5 while chips are £3.50. A special pie, chips and pint deal is available for £12.50 representing a £2.50 saving compared with purchasing the three items separately.

The venue is cashless so all purchases should be made by card or contactless payment.

No external food or drink can be taken into The Halls except where required for a medical condition.

Security Checks

As an established live entertainment venue The Halls will operate security procedures for everyone entering the building. The regular security patrols will also take place in and around The Halls with the venue staff trained to identify and report suspicious behavior.

Items Prohibited

A number of items are prohibited under The Halls’ standard venue policy. These include external food and drink, glass, large umbrellas, professional cameras, GoPros, selfie sticks, glow sticks, etc. Smoking and vaping are also strictly prohibited inside the venue.

Accessible Entrance

The Wulfrun Hall (an intimate live music and entertainment venue) has step-free access to its ground-floor area while an accessible entrance is available for the supporters who require it.

Matchday Information

The opening times, the entertainment schedules, the former player appearances, and the other match-by-match information will be published across Wolves’ official channels ahead of each fixture.
