Europe’s biggest MMA promotion is getting ready to rumble at Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park this October for OKTAGON 62.

DAZN said that since its establishment in 2016, the event has grown exponentially, consistently selling out arenas in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, before expanding successfully into Germany and the UK.

Following the record-breaking sell-out event at Germany’s largest indoor arena, the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, where they shattered the German MMA attendance record with 19,000 fans, OKTAGON MMA wasted no time in upscaling for its German audience.

The home of Eintracht Frankfurt, Deutsche Bank Park hosts 55,000 fans and will mark an historic night in German sporting history.

The Waldstadion, currently known as the Deutsche Bank Park for sponsorship purposes, and formerly known as the Commerzbank-Arena, is a retractable roof sports stadium in Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany. The home stadium of the football club Eintracht Frankfurt, it opened in 1925.

OKTAGON MMA co-founder Pavol Neruda said, “Ever since we started doing shows in Frankfurt and speaking to the guys here, there seems to be some sort of magic here. It’s always been big here and we keep selling out the Festhalle.

“Germany is such a huge country and we believe there is always a chance to really make MMA big here. There was only one option really for us when it came to a stadium show here; Deutsche Bank Park is massive and it also has the closing roof that we need as well, just in case.

“For us, it seems like the perfect timing after selling out Cologne and the biggest indoor arena, this is the next step. We are aware it is a huge step, we are very humble because this goal is super ambitious.

“We believe we can sell this event out because the size of the event itself is going to attract people we believe. We are planning to bring big artists for the half-time shows, real global stars and we are now in negotiations. This is like an epic Colosseum.”

Not only will the stacked card feature the biggest MMA stars in the country and top talent across the continent,

OKTAGON 62 promises not only top-tier MMA action with the biggest stars from Germany and beyond but fans can also look forward to a live spectacle the likes of which has never been seen before at an MMA event including live music, incredible visuals and a whole host of surprises.

With its reputation for high-quality production and compelling matchups, OKTAGON MMA has firmly established itself as a powerhouse on the European MMA scene, recently earning a nomination for MMA Promotion of the Year.

The first stadium show which OKTAGON MMA will hold in 2024 is OKTAGON 58 at Eden Stadium in Prague on June 8 featuring the ‘Rematch of the Century’ between Karlos Vémola and Attila Végh.

More details about this monumental event – OKTAGON 62 in Frankfurt Stadium – will be revealed over the coming months.
