Chihuahua monumental venue plans

The Chihuahua Regional Livestock Union (non-Governmental organization in Chihuahua, Mexico) is all set to build a multipurpose arena with a financial injection of 420 million pesos.

‘EL HERALDO DE CHIHUAHUA’ stated that the above plan was approved by the Board of Directors and once the venue is complete it will go on to boost the livestock industry of Chihuahua (State in Mexico) and also boost the economy of the area.

The President of Unión Ganadera Regional de Chihuahua (UGRCH), Álvaro Iván Bustillos Fuentes, said that his administration has proposed giving more financial muscle to the UGRCH.

‘EL HERALDO DE CHIHUAHUA’ further stated that the above project plans drawn up comprise a multiuse arena, a commercial zone, venue boxes, among other spaces, and the facility will be able to accommodate 5,000 spectators for rodeo events and up to 12,000 people for concerts.

Fuentes informed that the present facility where the rodeo events are held is almost in a dilapidated state and do not boast futuristic offerings and is not even in a position to host major music acts – “The State of Chihuahua is in dire need of a state-of-the-art arena and the above is one of the priority infrastructure projects and will help to trigger economic growth.”

The above stadium will spread over 13-hectare of land and will be owned by the UGRCH.

Concluded Benito Fernández, Treasurer of UGRCH, “The arena will be a landmark point for Chihuahua. We are planning to hold more than 20 events in a year which will include sporting events and concerts.”
