Australia Sydney Allianz Stadium partners with Domain Image: Allianz Stadium

Domain, a leading Australian property marketplace, has secured its biggest listing, partnering with the new world-class Allianz Stadium and the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia.

‘Allianz Stadium’ stated that as the official property partner of Moore Park’s home of sport precinct, Domain will have in-stadium branding, broadcast and digital exposure and hospitality opportunities, along with exclusive fan and member engagement for the millions of fans who visit the venues each year.

Domain Group (or simply Domain) is an Australian digital property portal and associated real-estate industry business. The company was founded by Fairfax Media, when the publisher branded their real-estate sections in print with the Domain brand and first established an online presence in 1999. The company was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fairfax until November 2017, when Domain was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange as a public company, although Fairfax Media (now Nine) retained a 60 percent ownership of shares.

The 45,000-capacity Sydney Football Stadium, commercially to be known as Allianz Stadium, is a stadium currently under construction in Moore Park, Sydney, Australia. It is scheduled to open on September 2nd, 2022 as a replacement for the original Sydney Football Stadium. It will be used as one of the venues for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ and as a Regional Venue for the 2032 Summer Olympics.

The 48,000-capacity Sydney Cricket Ground is a sports stadium in Sydney, Australia. It is used for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 cricket, as well as rugby league, rugby union, Australian Rules football, and association football.

‘Allianz Stadium’ further stated that the Allianz Stadium is currently in the final stages of completion with the 42,500-seat venue to officially open on August 28th with a free community event. A festival of football will continue the venue’s spectacular opening series of events, with the Australian professional rugby league football club Sydney Roosters vs. the Australian professional rugby league club South Sydney Rabbitohs to play on September 2nd, the Australia national rugby union team Wallabies vs. the South Africa national rugby union team Springboks on September 3rd, and the Australia women’s national soccer team Matildas vs. Canada on September 6th.

With a unique audience of up to 8.4 million Australians reached in a month* through the Domain App and websites, this partnership will provide new opportunities to engage with sports and entertainment fans.

Remarked Domain’s CMO Rebecca Darley, “The opening of Sydney’s home of sport, Allianz Stadium, is undoubtedly one of the most exciting events in New South Wales (NSW) this year and we’re excited to be the property partner. We know people love Domain with almost half of the active online population in NSW visiting us each month, so we’re delighted to be right at the heart of connecting with even more property-obsessed sports and entertainment fans across the nation with this partnership.”

Added Venues NSW CEO Kerrie Mather, “We’re so excited to welcome Domain as the official property partner at the soon-to-be-opened Allianz Stadium and the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground. Our goal is to create extraordinary live experiences for our members and fans at all of our precincts and we’re sure those attending the new world-class Allianz Stadium for the first time and supporting SCG events will feel right at home and enjoy the exciting new experiences on offer.”
