It is double delight for the Handball-Bundesliga team SC Magdeburg (Germany).

‘Volksstimme’ stated that SC Magdeburg prevailed over their peer team Bergischer HC with a 39:30 victory recently. And now their home arena – the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg, Germany – is going to be totally redecorated.

The SC Magdeburg is a professional handball club from Magdeburg, Germany. The team plays in the highest German league, the Handball-Bundesliga, and regularly in the highest international competitions.

The GETEC Arena is an indoor sporting arena located in Magdeburg, Germany. The maximum capacity of the arena is 8,071 people for handball games and 8,820 for boxing matches. It is the current home to SC Magdeburg’s Handball-Bundesliga team.

The Bergischer Handball-Club 06 is a German handball club based in the Cities of Wuppertal and Solingen that competes in the Handball-Bundesliga. They play in the 4,100-capacity Uni Halle in Wuppertal and the 2,491-capacity Klingenhalle in Solingen (Germany).

‘Volksstimme’ further stated that fresh-from-the-oven victory of SC Magdeburg now plans are afoot to totally renovate the GETEC Arena and build a new hall. Plans have been drawn out to raise the capacity of the facility to 10,000. The City of Magdeburg is planning two arenas as the GETEC Arena is in dire need of revamp work.
