In a clash-of-the-titans-event the Eislöwen, as the newly promoted DEL2 champions, will face the reigning Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) champions and record holders, the Eisbären Berlin. The showcase event will help forge ties between the leagues, the Cities and the fans.

Milestone Moment

‘EISHOCKEY.NET’ further stated that the Dresden Eislöwen is on cloud nine having won the DEL2 championship recently and being promoted to the PENNY DEL (Deutsche Eishockey Liga) – indeed a milestone moment for them. Now, the next big moment awaits the top-flight – The DEL WINTER GAME 2026 – powered by MagentaSport.

The euphoria in Dresden is already palpable: Two thousand season tickets have already been sold and the capacity of the Joynext Arena stands at 4,412. Creating Connections

The Eislöwen will be playing their third hockey fixture at the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadium having earlier played in the years 2016 and 2020. The above spectacle will best demonstrate the solidarity which ice hockey in Germany enjoys. Dresden and Berlin have shaped the sport of hockey in their respective regions and have weathered many storms. With the DEL WINTER GAME – powered by MagentaSport – the Eislöwen aims to further boost ties with the Eisbären Berlin and the die-hard fans of the former.
