The NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies have extended their long-term partnership with FedEx and will continue to tip off at the FedExForum.

The Grizzlies and FedEx partnered on Day One following the franchise’s arrival in Memphis in 2001.

FedEx signed a naming rights deal in 2002 for FedExForum, which opened in 2004 as the premier arena in the Mid-South.

Grizzlies President Jason Wexler said, “We are proud to continue our longstanding and successful partnership with FedEx. It gives us tremendous satisfaction to have a partner equally committed to bolstering the Memphis community.”

The 18,119-capacity FedExForum is a multipurpose arena located in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee (US). It is the home of the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men’s basketball program of the University of Memphis, both of whom previously played home games at the Memphis Pyramid.

The venue also has the capability of hosting ice hockey games, concerts, and family shows.

The Memphis Grizzlies (referred to locally as the Grizz) are an American professional basketball team based in Memphis, Tennessee. The Grizzlies compete in the NBA as a member of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference.

FedEx has been an associate partner of the Grizzlies’ annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration Game and the presenting partner of the team’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

The Grizzlies and FedEx recently announced the Dream Court Series to refurbish basketball courts throughout Memphis and have teamed together for several other notable programs to support the Memphis community, including food and coat drives, the FedEx Family House and small business programs.

The state of Tennessee last year agreed to pour hundreds of millions into stadium projects in an effort to lure big events and improve the game-day experience for fans, including those attending Simmons Bank Liberty Bowl and FedExForum games in Memphis.

The Legislature approved $350 million for the city of Memphis, which is putting the money toward renovation of the Liberty Bowl where the University of Memphis Tigers play football and improvements at the FedEx Forum.
