Friedkin Group deal to take up Everton baton

The Blue Heaven Holdings (a holding company operated by Farhad Moshiri) and The Friedkin Group confirmed on September 23rd that they have reached an agreement over the terms of the sale of Blue Heaven Holdings’ majority stake in the Everton Football Club (UK).

‘evertonfc.com’ stated that the transaction is subject to regulatory approval, including from the Premier League, The Football Association (FA) and the Financial Conduct Authority.

The Goodison Park is a football stadium in Walton, Liverpool, England (UK), two miles (three km) North of the City Centre, which is the home of the Premier League club Everton F.C. since 1892 and has an all-seated capacity of 39,414.

The 52,888-capacity Everton Stadium is a football stadium under construction on Bramley-Moore Dock in Vauxhall, Liverpool, England (UK) that will become the home ground for Everton ahead of the 2025-2026 seasons replacing the Goodison Park.

‘evertonfc.com’ quoted a spokesperson for The Friedkin Group as stating, “We are pleased to have reached an agreement to become custodians of this iconic football club. We are focused on securing the necessary approvals to complete the transaction. We look forward to providing stability to the club and sharing our vision for its future, including the completion of the new Everton Stadium at the Bramley-Moore Dock.”
