The LaLiga club Getafe CF has unbolted plans to carry out major redevelopment works in their residence – the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez in Getafe, Spain.

‘Getafe CF’ quoted Ángel Torres, Getafe CF President, as stating, “In September or October of this year the project plans will be presented to the City Council and in March or April next year we will start with the work from the North end.”

The Getafe Club de Fútbol, or simply Getafe, is a Spanish professional football club based in Getafe, a City in the Community of Madrid, Spain. The team competes in LaLiga, the highest tier of the Spanish football system. The club’s home stadium is the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

The 17,000-capacity Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Pérez is a municipality-owned football stadium in Getafe, Spain. It is the home ground of Getafe CF and opened in 1998.

Continued Torres, “The repurposed home of Getafe CF will be a futuristic one. The club will face inconvenience as while the revamp work is on Getafe CF will continue playing in the stadium and will not move to some other venue. In the renovated stadium, the sightlines will be clear and the fans can enjoy the pitch action up-close.”

‘Getafe CF’ further stated that Torres informed that work on offices housed in the stadium has already begun and will be over next month. Work will begin on the Sports Center in September which will come armed with a 2,000-seat stadium. The entire redecoration work is expected to finish within 27 months.
