‘Huge Opportunity’

Put in Alexander Ziron, Managing Director of VSC Klingenthal (skiing club in Germany), “Organizing an event like this takes a lot of effort. It is no mean task to convert an ice hockey stadium into a ski jumping stadium. We also view the above event as a huge opportunity for us as it will attract a lot of visitors. After all, the Vogtland Arena boasts the world’s best athletes and ski jumpers.”

The Government machinery has also provided its full support to hold the above event. The Mayor of Klingenthal, Judith Sander, is looking forward to an “amazing weekend” and asserted that the ice hockey show will go on to benefit her City as well as the region of Vogtland in Germany.

The arena will be converted into an ice surface for the showpiece event. It will be filled with about 30 cubic meters of sand. An ice surface is made from around 15,000 liters of water on the sandy subsoil.
