The private banking company Istituto per il Credito Sportivo (ICS) is helping the Serie B club Parma Calcio 1913 to draw out fiscal plans to totally revamp their home ground – the Ennio Tardini Stadium in Parma, Italy.

‘ICS’ stated that the ICS is aiding the Parma Calcio in chalking out a concrete plan for their home venue revamp project specifically to chart out a financial plan.

Rome (Italy)-based the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo (ICS) is a small public bank and an independently-managed public body responsible for ensuring sustainable support to developing sport and culture in Italy.

Parma Calcio 1913, commonly known as Parma, is an Italian professional football club based in Parma, Emilia-Romagna, which competes in the Serie B, the second tier of Italian football. The Parma Football Club was originally founded in December 1913.

The 22,352-capacity Ennio Tardini Stadium, commonly referred to as just Il Tardini, is a football stadium in Parma, Italy, located near the center of Parma between the town center and the City walls. It is the home of Parma Calcio 1913. The stadium was built in 1923 and was named after one of Parma’s former Presidents, Ennio Tardini.

‘ICS’ further stated that the ICS assists the public entities and the private companies in the implementation and realization of sustainable projects relating to sport and culture from an economic and financial point of view in keeping with the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) requirements which is the buzzword of sustainability.

The environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), also known as environmental, social and governance, is a set of aspects considered when investing in companies that recommends taking environmental issues, social issues and corporate governance issues into account.

The revamped home of Parma Calcio 1913 will boast a capacity of 20,986. In keeping with the sustainability quotient, the venue will come armed with photovoltaic (PV) roof, solar panels, will engage in rainwater harvesting, and the club will encourage fans to ditch vehicular travel and instead go in for public modes of transport.

In fact, sustainability will be the key mantra while going in for a total redecoration of the venue and the Serie B club’s main objective is to attain net zero. The construction materials used will be eco-friendly.
