Nubank-Inter Miami CF close to striking deal

Nubank is said to be close to finalizing a 10-year agreement for naming rights to Inter Miami CF’s new stadium worth around US$19 million per year totaling roughly US$190 million.

A ‘LinkedIn Post By Marcel van Oost’ stated that “the planned venue, Miami Freedom Park, will seat 25,000 fans and is expected to open in April 2026. The investment would be a major step in Nubank’s US expansion strategy.”

The ‘LinkedIn Post By Marcel van Oost’ further stated that the “Co-founder and the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) Cristina Junqueira recently relocated to Miami to focus on building the company’s US operations and Nubank has already applied for a US banking license.”

“The stadium management is also in discussions with other potential buyers on the naming rights meaning a deal with Nubank is not guaranteed.”
 
Inter Miami is owned by Jorge and Jose Mas along with David Beckham. The new US$1 billion stadium complex covers 53 hectares near the Miami International Airport and will include:

  • A 750-room hotel;
  • A 23-hectare public park; and
  • Retail and office space.

 
“The club will inaugurate the stadium on April 4th, 2026 in a match against Austin FC.”

The Inter Miami CF is an American professional soccer club based in the Miami Metropolitan area (US). The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Inter Miami plays their home matches at the Chase Stadium with plans to move to Miami Freedom Park in 2026.

The Chase Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. Built on the site of the former Lockhart Stadium the 21,550-seat stadium is the home pitch of Inter Miami CF of Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Miami Freedom Park is a massive new 131-acre development in Miami, Florida, centered around a new 25,000-seat soccer stadium for the Inter Miami CF, the Major League Soccer (MLS) team, opening in 2026.
