Stadio della Roma

AS Roma formally submitted the complete dossier on the Tor di Valle/Stadio della Roma project to Rome City Hall and Regione Lazio on May 30th, according to media reports. Earlier in April-end, the club had presented the documents along with the Stadio della Roma designs to CONI, the Italian National Olympic Committee.

The dossier, submitted in paper and electronic format, includes over 3,500 technical project drawings and more than 50,000 pages of detailed reports. AS Roma has also released 10 updated renderings of the planned new stadium and its surroundings.

The renderings doesn’t show much change in the design of the stadium per se, but it offers a much clearer view of the surrounding complex, including three skyscrapers, various retail outlets, large leisure space and a training centre for the football club.

The complete dossier draws on the combined work and expertise of over 500 leading industry specialists, including engineers, architects and special advisors belonging to more than 50 national and internationally regarded companies.

The next phase of the process includes the formal transfer of the project from Rome City Administration (Roma Capitale) to Regione Lazio. It will take another 180 days at the maximum to complete the authorisation process before the final project approval.

The construction, which is already delayed by over two years, is not expected to begin by the end of this year, according to reports.
