The Serie A club FC Internazionale Milano (Italy) announced on February 23rd during a presser held at its headquarters that it has struck a deal with Panasonic, the famous Japanese electronics brand, which will become the official air quality Partner of the Italian top-flight for this season.

The ‘Inter Milano’ stated that the agreement consists of a series of marketing and communication activities such as product placement in different locations of the club, branded social content and visibility of the brand on the sidelines during the Serie A and Coppa Italia matches scheduled at San Siro.

Football Club Internazionale Milano, commonly referred to as Internazionale or simply Inter, and known as Inter Milan outside Italy, is an Italian professional football club based in Milan, Lombardy (Italy). Inter is the only Italian side to have always competed in the top flight of Italian football since its debut in 1909.

The 80,018-capacity Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, commonly known as San Siro, is a football stadium in the San Siro district of Milan, Italy, which is the home of Internazionale and A.C. Milan. It has a seating capacity of 80,018, making it one of the largest stadiums in Europe, and the largest in Italy.

The ‘Inter Milano’ further stated that the virtual presser was attended by Alessandro Antonello, Corporate CEO of FC Internazionale Milano, Luca Danovaro, Chief Revenue Officer of FC Internazionale Milano, Andrea Cetrone, Country Manager of Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions Italia, and Stefania Bracco, Marketing Manager of Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions, Italy.

The Panasonic Corporation, formerly Matsushita Electric Industrial Company Limited is a major Japanese multinational conglomerate company, headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka. It was founded by Kōnosuke Matsushita in 1918 as a lightbulb socket manufacturer.

Exulted Alessandro Antonello, Corporate CEO of FC Internazionale Milano, “We are thrilled to announce that Panasonic has joined the Nerazzurri family as its Air Quality Partner. Technology and innovation are the two key elements that guide in the development of our club and this new partnership represents a further step forward in the innovation process undertaken by Inter in recent years. Panasonic embodies several values that characterize our club: Not only our passion for innovation, but also taking care of each individual.”

Added Luca Danovaro, Chief Revenue Officer of FC Internazionale Milano, “We are proud that a brand like Panasonic has chosen Inter as a partner to enter the world of Italian football. This new deal unites two global companies, a symbol of excellence in their respective sectors, and testifies to the evolution of our brand and its visibility internationally and beyond the world of football.”

Said Andrea Cetrone, Country Manager, Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions, Italy, “Wellness and sustainability is the main focus of Panasonic. On the basis of the agreement reached with Inter, we will strive our best to ensure that the value of our technology, present in our air conditioning solutions in residential and commercial environments for small and large spaces, is shared with all sports lovers and beyond.”

Added Stefania Bracco, Marketing Manager of Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions, Italy, “At Panasonic, we started extensive research in the year 1997 on finding solutions to improve indoor air quality. Over the years we have carried out several studies that have allowed us to develop the nanoe™ X technology based on the hydroxyl radicals contained in the air humidity. Our continuous commitment to improve air quality has resulted in a series of tests to verify the effectiveness of this technology in inhibiting the development of pathogenic microorganisms (bacteria, molds and viruses) and allergens and on the breakdown of particles PM 2.5, which led us to obtain various certifications derived from independent laboratory tests that are available on our website.”

Panasonic has exclusively supplied to FC Internazionale Milano over 200 portable nanoe™ X generators, which will be available in the future in the European market.
