FabriTec Structures LLC, Guard-All Building Solutions LLC and PFEIFER Seil- und Hebetechnik GmbH announced on May 2 their partnership to become the first end-to-end resource for complex tensile steel supported cable membrane structures and light-weight building envelope solutions in the world.

PFEIFER Seil- und Hebetechnik GmbH, with its business unit, Cable Structures, the world leader in the design, manufacturing and construction of architectural cable structure, has acquired an ownership interest in FabriTec Structures and its sister company, Guard-All Building Solutions, who provide wide span, frame-supported, fabric buildings. The new team, with offices in Canada, United States, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Poland, Qatar, Singapore and China, combines a worldwide presence with the highest level of skills in technical specification and design, budgeting, contracting and project management; including site management and construction.

Beginning in July 2015, the German-based PFEIFER began enacting its plan to complete its range of services for complex cabling and tensile membrane systems by first acquiring Shanghai-based Covertex, an industry leader in PTFE, PVC and ETFE membrane manufacturing, and in March 2016, acquiring an Austrian-based company specialized in control systems for retractable and movable light weight structures. The new Pfeifer Systems GmbH (formerly named as ErneuEner Plus GmbH) has provided the engineering for various large retractable shade canopies worldwide.

With the acquisition of FabriTec and Guard-All, PFEIFER Group is now the only construction supplier in the world with the capabilities and experience to manufacture cables, stainless steel hardware, steel fabrication, movable systems and ETFE, PTFE and PVC membrane fabrication on a very large scale.
