Marvel Stadium is enhancing its reputation as one of Australia’s most dynamic, versatile and engaging venues with the launch of Stadium Sports, presented by Mountain Goat.

Marvel Stadium is transforming into a dynamic hub of sport, competition and entertainment open to attendees of all ages until Sunday 5 October.

The 53,359-capacity Docklands Stadium, known by naming rights sponsorship as Marvel Stadium, is a multipurpose sports and entertainment stadium in the suburb of Docklands in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Construction started in October 1997 and was completed in the year 2000 at a cost of A$460 million.

Located at the world-class Stadium Square Gate 2/3 is Stadium Smash Pickleball – a dedicated zone that features three full-size Pickleball courts and offers players of all levels the chance to play and experience one of Australia’s fastest-growing sports in style.

Each pickleball court includes a scoreboard, while premium paddles and balls for all four players are included in the hire fee, meaning there’s something for everyone from those who play for fun, or for bragging rights.

At the heart of it all is the Stadium Sports Clubhouse, accessible at Stadium Square Gate 2/3, accompanied by Marvel Stadium’s existing premium food and beverage offerings at ‘Friends of Fire’ and ‘The Wine Room’.

The Clubhouse is the social heart of the event – a premium, relaxed hub to enjoy a drink, catch the 2025 Toyota AFL Finals Series on-screen and soak up the electric atmosphere amid Stadium Sports.

Founder of Producey, former AFL player and Stadium Sports ambassador, Dylan Buckley said: “As someone with a proud history of 10 games and five crucial goals at Marvel Stadium, I’m excited to be involved and launch the new Stadium Sports initiative that is set to transform the Marvel Stadium precinct like never before.

“Whether you’re a die-hard sports fan watching the AFL Finals on the big screens, a weekend social player, or even if you just come for the food, music and vibes – there’s truly something for everyone. I look forward to seeing you there!”

Stadium Sports is the latest initiative adopted by Marvel Stadium to provide experiences to visitors beyond event days, highlighted by the launch of the interactive Stadium Golf in 2023.

Further social sports are set to be announced as part of the campaign, such as Australian football and more.

General Manager, Marvel Stadium, Scott Fitzgerald said: “Marvel Stadium is committed to being a venue that delivers epic moments 365-days a year, and the introduction of Stadium Sports is another example of how we are continuing to provide fans with new experiences to enjoy.

“With flexible formats and world-class food and beverage offerings within the stadium precinct, it’s the perfect September activity.”

Josh Croal, General Manager at Mountain Goat said: “We’re thrilled to be part of this fantastic event with Marvel Stadium.

“Goat is born and brewed in Melbourne and we know how special footy finals and sports are at this time of year. It’s the perfect moment to come together, enjoy great beer and all that this event has to offer.”

Tickets for Stadium Sports and its activations start from as little as A$50, while access to the Stadium Square Gate 2/3 and Clubhouse is free of charge.
