Coastal Arabia will manufacture FIFA-compliant stadium seats in Saudi Arabia to support the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and the 2034 FIFA World Cup™.

A ‘LinkedIn Post By Coastal Holding’ stated, “Coastal Holding a diversified conglomerate with expertise in construction, manufacturing and technology delivering high-performance stadium seating worldwide announced the commissioning of Saudi Arabia’s first dedicated stadium seat manufacturing factory in Riyadh. The facility will produce 18,000 FIFA-compliant seats per month combining international technology with local expertise to withstand the region’s harsh climate.”

“With a proven track record from six FIFA 2022 stadiums in Qatar Coastal Holding brings globally tested seating solutions. The factory, supported by Forum Seating, aligns with Saudi Vision 2030.”

“Abdulrahman Al Samari, head honcho, Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA), stated that the project is estimated to contribute SAR 520 million to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) emphasizing local sourcing – 98 percent of the materials, including the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC)-supplied components, are domestically produced.”

The ‘LinkedIn Post By Coastal Holding’ further stated, “The project is backed by the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) and the Ministry of Investment (MISA).”

“Basim Ibrahim, Director of Sport Investments, highlighted its role in positioning Saudi Arabia as a sports manufacturing hub for FIFA 2034 and AFC 2027.”

“Nishad Azeem, Coastal Holding Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), emphasized sustainable production with recycled materials and a low carbon footprint. The factory, set to open in July 2025, will enhance the domestic capabilities and meet the global demand.”

The tournament will involve 24 national teams after the expansion in 2019. It will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7^th-February 5^th, 2027.

The 2034 FIFA World Cup™ will be the 25^th FIFA World Cup™, a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the Men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA. In December 2024 Saudi Arabia was formally confirmed as the host nation by FIFA following an uncontested bidding process. It will be the third tournament hosted in Asia after Korea and Japan in 2002 and Qatar in 2022. Saudi Arabia will be the second host nation from the Arabian Peninsula in the space of 12 years. It will also be the first time the tournament will be hosted by a single nation since 2022.
