The Premier League team Manchester United F.C. (UK) has announced that Collette Roche has been appointed to a brand‑new role in the club: Chief Executive Officer (CEO), new stadium development, formalising her role leading the club’s participation in the Old Trafford Regeneration planning to date.

‘MANCHESTER UNITED’ stated that Collette steps into this position at a pivotal moment following the recent official launch of the Old Trafford Regeneration Mayoral Development Corporation (OTR MDC) – the driving force behind the scheme to deliver thousands of jobs and homes catalyzed by a new 100,000-seater stadium for the club.

The Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England (UK). They compete in the Premier League, the top tier of English football.

The Old Trafford is a football stadium in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England (UK) and is the home of Manchester United F.C. With a capacity of 74,197 it is the largest club football stadium (and the second-largest football stadium overall after the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium) in the United Kingdom and the 11th-largest in Europe.

The Old Trafford Regeneration is a £2 billion, 370-acre project aimed at transforming the area into a major sports-led, mixed-use district featuring a potential new 100,000-seater stadium for the Manchester United.

The Old Trafford Regeneration Mayoral Development Corporation (OTR MDC), launched in January 2026 by the Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham and the Trafford Council, is a public-private partnership driving a massive, sport-led redevelopment of a 370-acre area in Greater Manchester. It aims to create 15,000 homes, 48,000 jobs and a 100,000-seat stadium serving as a catalyst for a new, vibrant district.

‘MANCHESTER UNITED’ further stated that the role, reporting to the Manchester United Chief Executive Officer Omar Berrada, marks an exciting next step in plans for development.

In November, the club launched the next phase of consultation with supporters on the club’s ambition to build a new stadium that delivers the best fan experience in the world.

This followed the announcement of Manchester United’s vision in March inviting all fans to share their views on a range of potential features including facilities, seating and pricing options.

Omar Berrada said of the appointment, “Collette has done a fantastic job leading the club’s work to develop our ambition to build a new 100,000-seater stadium as part of the wider Old Trafford Regeneration. As we start to accelerate our plans we are delighted that Collette will now be totally focused on working to deliver this hugely important project.”

Added Collette Roche, “I am incredibly proud to have been asked to lead the new stadium development and continue to work closely with the Mayoral Development Corporation and all our diverse stakeholders. Our aspiration is to create the best stadium in the world for the best team and fanbase in sport – guided by fans’ input throughout the design and development process. We are committed to taking a consultative approach ensuring our plans are shaped by the fans every step of the way.”
