The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League 2021 Quarter-finals and Semi-final (West) as well as the eagerly anticipated Final will be played in Saudi Arabia subject to the AFC Executive Committee’s ratification of the AFC Competitions Committee’s decision (via correspondence on August 18th, 2021), regarding the Hosting of Centralized Matches in the Knockout Stage.

The ‘AFC Champions League’ stated that as confirmed on July 5th, 2021, all matches will be played as single leg ties with the AFC Champions League 2021 Quarter-finals and Semi-final (West) scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from October 16th to October 19th before the decisive Final is held on November 23rd.

Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)-headquartered the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is one of the six confederations within FIFA and is the governing body of football in Asia and Australia. It has 47 member-countries, most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), joined the Asian Football Confederation in 2006.

The 2021 AFC Champions League is the 40th edition of Asia’s premier club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the 19th under the current AFC Champions League title. The tournament is the first to involve 40 teams during the group stage, with an increase from the previous 32 teams. The winners of the tournament will automatically qualify for the 2022 AFC Champions League, entering the qualifying play-offs, if they have not qualified through their domestic performance. The winners of the 2021 AFC Champions League will also qualify for the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup™ in Japan, and if they are from Japan, the runners-up will also qualify.

The ‘AFC Champions League’ further stated that the Korea Football Association has already been confirmed as the centralized host Member Association for the East region matches, which will be staged in Jeonju (South Korea) from October 17th to October 20th.
