Sodexo extends Ascot contract Image: Coliseum GSVA

Sodexo Live!, which has provided catering and hospitality services at the Ascot Racecourse in Ascot, England, UK, since 1998, has extended its partnership with the venue for a further 11 years.

‘THE CATERER’ stated that under the new contract, the events caterer will introduce the Ascot Hospitality Academy training program, Royal Ascot pop ups and lounge menu, sustainability pledges, and a food and wine festival.

The 75,000-capacity Ascot Racecourse is a dual-purpose British racecourse located in Ascot, Berkshire, England (UK), which is used for thoroughbred horse racing. It hosts 13 of Britain’s 36 annual Flat Group 1 horse races and three Grade 1 Jumps races.

‘THE CATERER’ further stated that this year’s Royal Ascot, which will take place between June 20th-24th, is set to offer a chef line-up amounting to 10 Michelin stars, 2 Green Michelin stars and 28 AA Rosettes.

The Royal Ascot is an annual Flat racing meeting held for five days in mid-June which hosts 18 Group races (the highest quality Flat races).

Sodexo Live! recruits, trains and manages over 3,000 team members and operates at Ascot under the 1711 By Ascot brand.

It also provides hospitality services at the Henley Regatta (rowing event), the Premier League club Newcastle United F.C., the 51,866-capacity Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland, and the Thames River cruise Bateaux London.
