Starbucks has opened up shop at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain marking a footballing first.

The new café is an exclusive space dedicated to coffee cocktails and other experiences, offering an added treat for all those who pass by the stadium or attend on match day.

AS said the Starbucks has a total area of 900 square meters, is spread over two floors and offers privileged views of the Real Madrid stadium.

In addition, the café will offer unique and immersive experiences, complementing the traditional coffee sales.

Real Madrid CF, commonly referred to as Real Madrid, is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid, Spain. The club competes in LaLiga, the top tier of Spanish football.

The Bernabéu Stadium is a retractable roof football stadium in Madrid, Spain. With a seating capacity of 78,297 the stadium has the second-largest seating capacity for a football stadium in Spain. It has been the home stadium of Real Madrid since its completion in 1947.

The Starbucks operations will be led by the brand’s own “coffee masters,” professional baristas wearing black aprons who, before joining this project, received specialized training and participated in various international championships.

This is a unique space that will offer each and every one of its customers an experience based on those offered at Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, the brand’s most premium and luxurious line, of which there are only six in the world, located in Shanghai, Milan, New York, Tokyo, and Chicago.

This establishment will become the company’s 222nd, establishing itself as Starbucks’ most ambitious project in Spain.

The company has made a significant investment and, with their arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu, they aim to forge a unique bond with the brand and the Spanish capital.

Starbucks CEO Antonio Romero said, “Visitors will have an unparalleled experience. This is a milestone in the history of the brand.

“It is an emblematic and unique place where visitors can not only enjoy the best coffee but also live a totally immersive and unparalleled experience.

Starbucks Bernabéu is a true celebration for both the brand and coffee lovers. This store is unlike anything we’ve done in Spain so far, with an exclusive offering and a design that distinguishes it from all our other establishments.”

The Bernabéu Starbucks will have a dedicated mixology area where all customers will be able to explore the art and science behind the creation and production of cocktails, in which coffee is mixed with a multitude of ingredients to create new and innovative beverages.
