The just-concluded ninth Coliseum Summit EUROPE which was held at the 60,704-capacity Emirates Stadium, London (UK) from March 18th-19th, 2025 can be summed up in two words – ‘Smashing Success’.

The presentations by the 55 venue industry virtuosos in the 2025 Coliseum EUROPE conference consisted of two days of intriguing-spellbinding sessions with two hundred and thirty four (234) delegates from 19 countries in attendance.

The feedback from the delegates was overwhelming and it was totally two days of engaging sessions and deliberations.

Stated Drew Crisp, SVP Digital, Liverpool FC, UK, “I spoke to hundreds of stadium and venue executives and sports business leaders at Coliseum Summit EUROPE about how the club is leveraging next-generation Wi-Fi and data analytics to enhance the matchday experience alongside the club’s official Wi-Fi solutions partner – the Extreme Networks.”

Alex Tunbridge, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Cambridge United FC, UK, was all praise for the meet and described it as an “incredible event and a fantastic opportunity to share insights on the operations and upcoming developments at the Cledara Abbey Stadium (Cambridge United home venue). I also had the privilege of connecting with the professionals from the venue sector which made for valuable discussions and potential collaborations as we start to focus on our own development plans.”

Daniele Tagliabue, Head of Venue Technology Services and Results, MiCo 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, described his experience at the Coliseum summit as “fantastic and the insights were incredibly valuable”.

Tagliabue’s speech focused on one of the most fascinating and complex challenges the venue industry professionals face in the technology domain – how to integrate the centralized excellence of major international events with the deep-rooted, local expertise of the mountain venues that already host world-class sporting competitions, it is not just a matter of logistics or systems – it’s about building a shared culture, aligning the different working methods and creating a team where the local and international knowhow complement and elevate one another.”

He also talked about delivering Games that are efficient, inclusive and leave a meaningful legacy.

Tim Hoddy, Vice-President, Sales (Europe), Uniguest, opined that the EUROPE Coliseum summit “provided an opportunity to connect with the venue community with lots of learning all around”.

He shared insights on how Uniguest’s Sports Hub solution can help a venue achieve their digital media goals. Sean Miller from Uniguest joined Hoddy in delivering a master class in how to get the best out of Digital Media in the venues.

Tomasz Zahorski, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Legia Training Center, Poland, stated that the 2025 Europe conference “is probably the best Coliseum Global Sports Venue Alliance Summit I’ve attended – and I’ve been to many over the years. The Emirates Stadium provided a fantastic setting and the event featured a stellar lineup of speakers sharing valuable updates and insights from the stadium and venue industry around the world.”

All and sundry present at the conference sang paeans of praises for the 2025 Coliseum EUROPE Conference and was unanimous in stating that the two-day brainstormer “provided insightful and useful information. It was an incredible event which made for valuable discussions and potential collaborations”.

Aled Jenkins, Regional Director (Cost Management), AECOM, shared the key takeaways from the Coliseum meet:
