BAM bags contract for Heidelberg sports centre

BSG Bau- und Servicegesellschaft mbH has awarded the contract to build a sports centre in Heidelberg to BAM Sports, a subsidiary of BAM Deutschland (venue construction). The contract value is over €22 million, BAM announced on its official website.

The sports complex will accommodate 5,000 spectators, a business club for 250 visitors and six business suites with 15 seats each. The sports centre will also have a large commercial kitchen, various food and drinks stands and storage rooms, according the media release.

The facilities will be used for recreational sports activities of schools and sports clubs, as well as for top sport events, especially premier league basketball and handball matches.

BAM stated that construction activities will start in September 2018 and completion is scheduled for 2019 end.
