Globe Life Field is open for tours starting June 1 with the Texas Rangers allowing small groups to take a dekko of the new facility while strictly following social distancing parameters. However, Texas Rangers games are still on hold.

Globe Life Field is a baseball park in Arlington, Texas. It serves as the home of the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). The new ballpark is located across the street just south of Globe Life Park. The Globe Life Field was originally scheduled to open on March 23, 2020, but the opening date is indeterminate due to the COVID-19 pandemic delaying the season.

During the hour-long tours, guides will share facts, stories and history as they take visitors to behind-the-scenes locations and public spaces, including the Grand Slam Gift Shop, which will be open for sales.

The Texas Rangers are an American professional baseball team based in Arlington, Texas, in United States.

Advance tickets for the Globe Life Field Tours are on sale at texasrangers.com/tours. Considering the coronavirus scenario, all ticket sales will be available online only.

“Offering these tours provides an opportunity for our fans to get their first look at the beautiful new Globe Life Field,” said Rangers Executive Vice-President, Sports & Entertainment, Sean Decker.

“However, the safety and health of everyone is the main consideration. We will be complying with all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended guidelines and taking extra precautions to aid in the safety of all employees and guests,” Decker added.

The format and scheduling of the Globe Life Field First Look Tours are subject to change following any changes to the recommended safety and health guidelines.

Tour tickets come at $25 for adults (in the age group 15-64), and $15 for children (aged 4-14). Apart from this, $5 from every tour ticket will be donated to support COVID-19 relief, and other efforts, through the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

Guided tours will be offered most days, from 10 am to 6 pm, with the exception of dates with pre-existing events. Tour groups will be limited in size to follow social distancing norms.

First Look Tours are available for purchase during June and July only. This will be the first, and only, public tour experience offered at this time. All public and group tours were previously postponed in March.

In March, the coronavirus pandemic caused the cancellation of the Chris Stapleton and Willie Nelson concert that was to have been the first official event at Globe Life Field. Then, the MLB season was postponed indefinitely, delaying the Texas Rangers’ first opening day at the new ballpark.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance as space is limited to ensure safe distancing. Admission includes a souvenir Globe Life Field face covering to wear during the tour. Bottled water is allowed, but other food and beverages are not. Cameras and strollers are welcome, and there will be Wi-Fi access. Tours in Spanish and American Sign Language can be arranged.
