Romania new multi-purpose hall in Brasov Image: CNI

The City of Brașov in Romania will be getting a new multipurpose hall in the next three years, as announced by the Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila.

The price tag of the hall roughly stands at 80 million euros. The necessary building permits have been granted and work will start in August this year.

‘CNI’ stated that the multipurpose sport hall in Brașov will have a capacity of 11,233 seats (of which 10,075 seats will be for the main game room and 1,158 seats for the secondary hall).

CNICompania Nationala de Investitii – is the largest public developer in Romania and is under the control of the Romanian Government. It is also known as the National Investment Company (CNI) and was founded in the year 2001. The objective of CNI is to make the impossible possible and make Romania the cynosure of all eyes. With a budget of 200 to 220 million Euros per year, the developer is presently involved in more than 400 construction projects in Romania simultaneously.

Adrian Cefalan, Investment Director, CNI, Romania, is a Member of Coliseum – Global Sports Venue Alliance.

‘CNI’ further stated that the land on which the hall will be built will have a total area of 148,210sqm. The developed built surface of the hall will be of 36,000 sqm.

The hall will boast 1,472 photovoltaic panels of 280 W each, and they will be installed covering 2,502 sqm to which will be added 16 solar panels for hot water purpose.

There will also be in place a ground-to-water heat pump system consisting of a network of 280 wells at a depth of 50 meters.

Approximately, 35 percent energy consumption of the hall will be covered by thermal energy heating, cooling and electricity all through green energy systems.
