The Scottish professional football club Heart of Midlothian has stated that plans are well underway for the exciting development of the Main Stand second floor at their residence – Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh, Scotland.

‘Heart of Midlothian’ stated that the club is applying for planning permission for the development of a 22-room boutique hotel, additional hospitality lounges and conference and event space within the second floor.

The Heart of Midlothian Football Club, commonly known as Hearts, is a professional football club in Edinburgh, Scotland. The team competes in the Scottish Professional Football League.

The 20,099-capacity Tynecastle Park is a football stadium in the Gorgie area of Edinburgh, Scotland, which is the home ground of the Scottish Professional Football League club Heart of Midlothian. It has also hosted Scotland international matches, and has been used as a neutral venue for Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup semi-finals.

‘Heart of Midlothian’ further stated that the hotel rooms and additional conference and events space will give a unique opportunity to host more events at Tynecastle and also appeal to the millions of visitors that Edinburgh attracts each year as the United Kingdom’s second most visited City.

The club has taken time to consider all available options relating to the second floor and believes this project will provide the best platform to support its ambitious growth plans both on and off the pitch.

The club will update supporters on timescales as the planning process stage progresses.
