The Sidemen FC Charity Match returned in 2023, with some of the biggest names from YouTube battling it out to raise funds for good causes, including Teenage Cancer Trust. The match was held at the London Stadium (UK) on September 9th.

A ‘LinkedIn Post By London Stadium on September 12th’ stated, “Reflecting on a special day at the London Stadium this weekend, as we hosted The Sidemen Charity Football Match on September 9th.”

The Sidemen Charity Match is an annual football friendly match run by the Sidemen to raise money for various charitable causes. They have been held since 2016, barring a four-year hiatus between the third and fourth matches.

The Sidemen is a British YouTube group consisting of internet personalities KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Vikkstar123, and W2S. The group produce videos of various challenges, sketches and video game commentaries across their YouTube channels, which have a combined total of over 138 million subscribers as of October 2022.

The Sidemen F.C. (previously known as Sidemen United) is a football team created by the Sidemen for their charity football matches from 2016.

The 80,000-capacity London Stadium is a multipurpose outdoor stadium at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in the Stratford district of London (UK). It is located in the Lower Lea Valley, six miles East of Central London.

The ‘LinkedIn Post By London Stadium on September 12th further stated, “The 62,500 tickets sold out in less than two hours, with more than 2.5 million viewers tuning into the live feed on YouTube and Kick. The game featured The Sidemen vs. YouTube All-Stars, with a collective audience of over 240 million subscribers from the players on both teams. So far, the match has raised an incredible £2,425,855 for the chosen charities, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), Teenage Cancer Trust and Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity.”

The Campaign Against Living Miserably, or CALM, is a registered charity based in England (UK). CALM runs a free, confidential and anonymous helpline as well as a Web chat service offering help, advice and information to anyone who is struggling or in crisis.

The Teenage Cancer Trust is a cancer care and support charity in the United Kingdom (based in London) that exists to improve the cancer experience of young people aged 13-24. Founded in 1990, the charity’s key service is providing specialist teenage units in the National Health Service (NHS) hospitals. It also trains and funds staff who are teenage cancer specialists.

The National Health Service is the conglomerate name for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom comprising NHS England, NHS Scotland and NHS Wales.

London (UK)-based the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity was formed in 2003 to brighten the lives of children who are living with serious illnesses between the ages of 3-18 across the United Kingdom.
