Australian Open Courtside Bar to raise the bar

An Opening Week packed with tennis, entertainment and fun, along with the stunning new Australian Open (AO) Courtside Bar (Australia), are just some of Australian Open’s big and bold plans to bring fans closer to the action than ever before.

‘Australian Open’ stated that introduced in 2023, the Opening Week was designed to solidify the AO as a three-week festival of sport and entertainment. For AO 2024 it will be even bigger and better, offering an expanded program of events and more opportunities for fans to get closer to their heroes as they prepare for the first Grand Slam of the year.

The Australian Open is a tennis tournament held annually at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The tournament is the first of the four Grand Slam tennis events held each year, preceding the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.

The Melbourne Park is a sports venue in the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Precinct in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Since 1988 Australia’s bicentenary, the Melbourne Park has been home of the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis tournament played annually in January.

The Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Precinct is a group of sports stadiums and venues in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It’s located about three km East of the Melbourne central business district (CBD), in the suburbs of Melbourne and Jolimont. The precinct is known for hosting the Australian Open and other national and international sports and entertainment events.

‘Australian Open’ further stated that the AO Courtside Bar is a two-story viewing structure that overlooks Court 6 at the Australian Open. It will debut at the 2024 Australian Open. The bar will have a capacity to hold more than 400 fans.

The AO Courtside Bar will feature:

A drinks menu, including the AO’s signature non-alcoholic cocktail;
DJs and live entertainment;
A close-up view of several men’s and women’s singles matches in the early rounds; and
General-admission tickets worth about $31 each.

The AO Courtside Bar is intended to be a place to see and be seen at the Australian Open.

Explained Craig Tiley, Australian Open Tournament Director, “We are looking forward to a three-week extravaganza of tennis and entertainment, with the Opening Week bringing fans closer to the action than ever and giving unprecedented access to the top players as we lead into an historic Sunday start. We’re very excited to launch the AO Courtside Bar, a double-story structure overlooking Court 6 with a capacity of more than 400. We expect this will quickly become known as the ‘party court’, and it’s a model we’d like to expand further across the site in the future.”

The AO Courtside Bar will feature a delicious drinks menu and coupled with all the tennis action it promises a lot of pizzazz.

The 2024 Australian Open will be held from January 15^th-28^th.

The AO Courtside Bar is set to literally raise the bar in the entertainment and lifestyle stakes at the Australian Open in January 2024.
