ASM Global is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its rapidly expanding international supplier diversity program.

The date is being marked with the entertainment giant both expanding its Business Incubator Program (BIP) and introducing the Supplier Diversity Legacy Program (DLP) designed to foster inclusivity, innovation and sustainable business practices within the company’s far-reaching global supply chain.

Los Angeles (US)-based ASM Global is the world’s leading producer of entertainment experiences. It is the global leader in venue and event strategy and management – delivering locally tailored solutions and cutting-edge technologies to achieve maximum results for venue owners.

The company’s elite venue network spans five continents, with a portfolio of more than 350 of the world’s most prestigious arenas, stadiums, performing arts venues, and convention and exhibition centers.

ASM President and CEO Ron Bension said, “An incredibly important component in our ASM culture and business strategy is cultivating inclusion throughout our global venues. At ASM, we recognize the importance of including local, small and diverse-owned businesses in our ecosystem and acknowledge our impact on the vendors and the people in the communities we serve and live in.”

Since the launch of its supplier diversity program, ASM Global has quickly and successfully assisted 45 diverse-owned businesses with developing their business acumen.

ASM Global’s supplier diversity mission proactively seeks-out, identifies, builds relationships with and purchases high quality goods and services from local and diverse businesses.

Working with diverse suppliers whose business model aligns with its business strategy ensures diverse suppliers are included in ASM Global’s global supply chain.

The two new key initiatives unveiled this week are designed to further foster inclusivity, innovation and sustainable business practices internationally.

The ASM Global Business Incubator Program offers an intensive six-week curriculum of accelerated classes designed to empower emerging businesses globally. Through mentorships, access to resources and strategic partnerships, ASM is committed to equipping these businesses with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the world marketplace.

Also debuting is the company’s Supplier Diversity Legacy Program featuring higher-level nine-month classes for businesses seeking sustained growth on an international scale.

Ama Erbynn, VP, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, said, “This program is exclusive to graduates of the Business Incubator Program, ensuring a cohort of advanced learners who have completed the foundational six-week course. It emphasizes advanced learning, strategic planning and global business development, preparing participants to contribute meaningfully to ASM Global’s diverse supply chain.”

Quanittia Gibson, Manager Supplier Diversity said, “ASM’s commitment to these programs is unparalleled in the live entertainment space. They’ll continue to grow and enrich everyone involved on so many levels. It’s at the core of our business strategy today and into the future.”
