California’s city of Ontario’s new sports complex Image: Greater Ontario CVB

The City of Ontario in California (US) has announced that its new multiuse sports complex, managed by The Sports Facilities Companies, will be named the Ontario Sports Empire.

‘sportstravelmagazine.com’ stated that set to open in Fall 2026, the complex will host major regional and national tournaments. The 190-acre facility will include 20 long fields, 14 youth diamond fields, eight full-size diamonds, four football/rugby fields, and two championship baseball fields.

Clearwater (US)-based The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) is United States leading resources for the management and development of sports, recreation, wellness, and events facilities. As a turnkey solution for the community leaders and the developers alike, the SFC services span the gamut of sports and recreation needs from sports tourism and recreation master planning, program planning and feasibility through professional facility management services.

‘sportstravelmagazine.com’ quoted Michael Krouse, President-cum-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Greater Ontario California (GOCAL – The Gateway to Southern California! The official destination marketing organization for the Cities of Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga) and the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau (GOCVB), as stating, “This venue will position Ontario as a must-visit City for major sporting events. It’s an exciting development that will put Ontario on the national stage driving significant growth in both sports tourism and local economic impact.”

The Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, a non-profit organization, is the official destination marketing organization to promote the Cities of Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, California, to the visitors nationally and internationally.

The venue will be located 10 minutes from the Ontario International Airport in an area with 6,000 hotel rooms and numerous entertainment options offering the players and the fans everything they need.
