Coliseum Summit ASIA-PACIFIC 2017 - top speakers

Coliseum – a top name in international stadium conferences – will host Coliseum Summit ASIA PACIFIC in Beijing on October 25-26, with China’s Winter Organizing Committee, Beijing’s National Stadium, Beijing Vanguan Sports and the China Sport Venue Association as leading organizations and supporters. It will be China’s first-ever international conference dedicated purely to stadium business.

Over 150 venue specialists are expected to gather at the National Stadium, popularly known as the Bird’s Nest for the two-day event, which is being described as the first exclusive stadium business conference in China.

One of the main highlights of the event will be a presentation from top speaker Gui Lin, Director of Planning & Development Department, Winter Olympics Organizing Committee 2022, who will offer a special insight on preparations at the venues planned for the Winter Games in Beijing.

Jinhu Feng, Secretary General, China Sport Venue Association and Yue Peng, President of the Board, National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) are other key speakers at the summit who will provide an in-depth perspective on China’s stadium and venue business owing to their long experience and association with the sector.

There are several other speakers comprising a rich mix of representatives from around the world. The Beijing summit is geared to meet the demands of the stadium and arena business in China and the larger Asia Pacific region.

The format of the summit offers a unique platform for experts from the stadium and sports venue business to come under a single roof to discuss the future of the sector. The conference is formatted to highlight 11 different segments of the stadium business, namely: Venue TECHNOLOGY, Venue OPERATIONS, Venue SECURITY, GREEN Venue, Venue VIP, Venue EXPERIENCE, Venue DESIGN, Venue CONSTRUCTION, Venue BUSINESS, DESTINATION Venue and Venue EDUCATION.

Participating delegates will also get a unique ‘behind the scene’ experience through a venue tour of the iconic Bird’s Nest, which was the main venue for the 2008 Summer Olympics and since then have hosted several important international sporting events. Registration for the venue tour is on first come first serve basis. It is free for Coliseum badge holders but requires a sign-up due to limited available space.
