Croatian soccer club Zagreb signs strategic deal with China’s Chengdu Sports Industry

Croatian top-tier soccer club GNK Dinamo Zagreb has signed a strategic partnership with China’s Chengdu Sports Industry Co., Ltd, according to media reports.

Under the terms of the new agreement, the Chinese sports events company will collaborate with the club to open soccer youth academies in Chengdu, China, and cooperate in the development of soccer-related industries there.

In addition, Chengdu Sports will work to promote overseas learning exchanges with the Croatian outfit, as well as international events. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

“Signing this agreement is another confirmation of the reputation and quality of GNK Dinamo Youth Academy throughout the world,” said Dinamo Zagreb’s chief executive Tomislav Svetina. “GNK Dinamo as a brand is recognised for its continuous work on the development of youth players; this motivates us to improve even more in every aspect of our work.”
