Construction cam online for Athletics new ballpark in Las Vegas Image: Athletics

Fans of Major League Baseball’s Athletics can keep up to date on the progress of the team’s Las Vegas Ballpark thanks to a new construction cam.

The A’s have launched a ballpark cam that allows live views of the stadium site as crews from Mortenson-McCarthy carry out work on the $1.75 billion, 33,000-fan capacity stadium.

You can watch the construction action here.

Crews began early groundwork on the stadium in April, and the A’s hosted a ground-breaking ceremony last month.

Since then, crews have been continuing excavation work and driving concrete piles that will support the facility’s foundation.

The A’s will hit several project milestones along the way as work progresses on the 32-month-long project.

The Athletics (often referred to as the ‘A’s’) are an American professional baseball team based in West Sacramento, California (US). The Athletics compete in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) West Division.

The team is playing its home games at the Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento for the 2025-2027 seasons before they move to the New Las Vegas Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

The 14,014-capacity Sutter Health Park is a ballpark in West Sacramento, California (US) directly adjacent to downtown Sacramento. It is the home of the Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team Sacramento River Cats of the Pacific Coast League (a MiLB league) and the temporary abode of the Major League Baseball (MLB) team Athletics.

The 33,000-capacity New Las Vegas Stadium is a fixed-roof ballpark under construction on the site of the former Tropicana Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada (US).

It will be the home stadium of the Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB) starting in 2028 after their move from Oakland, California.

The Mortenson-McCarthy team is using advanced construction tools, including Synchro 4D for schedule communication, Revizto+ for coordination between key groups including architects, engineers and construction workers, and drone imagery for logistics to ensure safety, quality, and precision throughout the build.

Over 50 percent of the of the workers on the stadium will be local, as required by Senate Bill 1.

The A’s Las Vegas ballpark is expected to be ready for Opening Day of the 2028 MLB season.
