FC Barcelona men’s football first team will return to Spotify Camp Nou for an open-door training session this week as the stadium gradually reopens following renovations.

FC Barcelona said the session will serve as a technical and operational test to ensure the proper functioning of systems, access points, and various aspects of the venue, as part of the stadium’s gradual reopening process.

FC Barcelona will officially return to the Spotify Camp Nou this Friday, November 7, to hold the open training session in front of Barça fans who are excited at the prospect of seeing the team in the stadium once more.

FC Barcelona, colloquially known as Barça, is a professional football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, that competes in the LaLiga, the top flight of Spanish football.

The Spotify Camp Nou is a stadium in Barcelona, Spain, and the home of the LaLiga club FC Barcelona since its opening in 1957.

It is currently undergoing renovation and with a planned increased seating capacity of 105,000 it will be the largest stadium in terms of seating capacity in Spain and Europe and the third largest association football stadium in the world.

Barcelona’s comeback to the Spotify Camp Nou has been repeatedly delayed by construction setbacks, licensing holdups, and safety concerns.

The club has now secured Phase 1A occupancy approval for 25,991 seats in the Main Stand and Gol Sud area.

But Barça is holding off until Phase 1B is licensed (adding 45,401 total capacity) before resuming full matches.

A competitive match return is earmarked for the weekend of 22–23 November, when Barça hosts Athletic Club, pending full approval of Phase 1B.

The open training session will begin at 11.00am CET, and the Spotify Camp Nou will open its doors at 9.30am.

The capacity will be limited to 23,000 spectators, located in the Main Stand and Gol Sud areas, corresponding to Phase 1A, for which the Club already holds the first occupancy licence.

Ticket sales have already begun at €5 for members and €10 for the general public.

All proceeds will go to the Polseres Blaugranes project, promoted by the Barça Foundation.

This initiative aims to improve the emotional well-being of hospitalised children and adolescents, as well as their families, while also supporting research into innovative therapies that help improve their recovery from illnesses.
