The Serie A team Hellas Verona FC recently announced that it has initiated the process for the development of a new stadium on the site of their current home venue – the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.

‘hellasverona.it’ stated that the club, along with HV1903, LLC (a sister company wholly-owned by the club’s ownership established to explore new stadium development), has submitted the project feasibility study to the technical offices of the Municipality of Verona. This marks the first step in a long process that will see the club and its Owners, Presidio Investors, fully engaged alongside representatives of the City administration and the national authorities.

The Hellas Verona FC is an Italian professional football club based in Verona, Veneto (Italy) that currently plays in the Serie A, the highest level of the Italian football league system.

The 39,211-capacity Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi is a stadium in Verona, Italy. It serves as the residence of the Hellas Verona FC.

‘hellasverona.it’ further stated that Hellas Verona’s project is ambitious and is aimed at providing the ‘I Gialloblù’ fans with a facility that meets their expectations and aspirations meeting the highest international benchmarks.

Maintained Italo Zanzi, Hellas Verona Executive Chairman, “We are proud to have officially entered the initial phase of this complex process. On behalf of the club’s ownership I want to assure the Hellas fans and the City of Verona that every effort will be made to create a stadium that combines the tradition of the great ‘I Gialloblù’ family with the requirements and services of a modern sports facility. We have made a substantial investment to develop and deliver a feasibility plan that provides the foundation for a successful project. A great deal of work lies ahead but with a qualified team of experts we are committed to building a stadium that will support the club’s growth plan on and off the field.”
