Chesterfield F.C.’s home retains SMH Group Stadium name

Chesterfield Football Club’s home stadium will continue to be known as SMH Group Stadium after a naming rights deal was extended for a further three years.

Chesterfield F.C. said the agreement reflects SMH Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves through long-term partnerships, local investment, and meaningful involvement in regional sport.

Chesterfield Football Club is a professional association football club based in the town of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. The team competes in EFL League Two, the fourth level of the English football league system.

SMH Group Stadium is an all-seater football stadium in Whittington Moor, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, on the site of the former Dema Glassworks.

It has been known as SMH Group Stadium since June 2023. The venue is called Chesterfield FC Stadium when hosting England youth international games and has a capacity of approximately 10,500.

SMH Group is a professional services firm with offices across Derbyshire and Yorkshire. They offer a range of services including accountancy, financial planning, wills & probate, audit & assurance, commercial finance and residential mortgages.

Jonathan Dickens, CEO of SMH Group, commented: “We’re delighted to renew our stadium sponsorship for another three years and continue our partnership with Chesterfield FC.

The renewal of the SMH Group Stadium naming rights is part of SMH Group’s wider support for regional sport, charity and business initiatives, including ongoing sponsorship of events, clubs and causes across the areas it serves.
